Lights up but wouldn’t turn on – don’t buy it

Reviewed in Australia on 12 September 2021

Verified Purchase

I was looking to buy these for my grandsons for Xmas and I always like to check things out first. I left this to power up for an hour and again overnight. Both times with no result. All the lights come on but the rotors do not turn and so it does not fly. The ON/OFF button is the only button and it is minuscule and therefore hard to operate but that said I have been playing with it for an hour and I cannot get it to fly so….. waste of time. Instructions say that it only flied for 5 mins anyway so I can see that also being a problem.

Didn’t work at all

Reviewed in Australia on 18 February 2020

Verified Purchase

The instructions don’t match the actual device, the supposed power switch was not located in the same location as indicated in the manual. The only button on the UFO was on the side, not the bottom and it only turned on the LED light which flashed different colours but the UFO didn’t fly or do anything.
The instructions also mention to open the battery cover and remove the battery to charge it, yet nowhere does it explain where or how to actually do this and the UFO device had no way to open it.
Waste of money, didn’t work and not the item that was ordered.
This is a complete scam.

Poor quality

Reviewed in Australia on 13 December 2019

The concept is great but they are so flimsily constructed that they are likely to fall apart the first time they hit a wall or the ground. I paid more to receive them quicker and it took 2 days longer than what I was told at checkout. The ‘quality’ is on a par with the light plastic of the put together models from a cereal packet! Hopefully, sometime in the not too distant future, a similar product with stronger construction will become available.

A lot of fun, but…..

Sadly I have bought 2 of these and had to return both. The first one worked for a day and then wouldn’t fly more than a couple inches off the ground. The second one’s body started coming apart after 2 days and then a propellor fell off. It’s too bad because when it worked it was great fun for my son and I. Hopefully future versions will be better because I would definitely be willing to try again.

#1 This one’s control system failed after the first run

Reviewed in Australia on 10 October 2020

The concept of this is a good one for a small kid, but it’s limited in that it requires medium-to-low lighting conditions. When this one failed after a single run, I got an alternative brand using the same principles, so the next comment might not be quite on target, but these things really don’t respond all that well to hand movements and they are no replacement for an obstacle-avoiding toy that has a remote control of some sort too.

This is rubbish.

I ordered 3 drones for my grandchildren. One didn’t work. One took off once then didn’t work again. The third worked for about 10 minutes then stopped working. Three total failures and real disappointment for my 3 little grandchildren. This product is a total waste of money. I would not recommend it to anyone. The only positive is that my money was returned.

Low quality

Reviewed in Australia on 2 December 2020

Only 5-6 minutes navigation time, after 45-50 minutes recharging;
One propeller broken into 2 pieces after 6 flyings, the other propeller consistently detached.

Just avoid it!

this is crap

Reviewed in Australia on 24 January 2020

Firstly, the drone did not work on arrival. We charged it per the supplied instructions. The issue is the little propeller blades do not fire up.
Secondly, when I have contacted the seller about this issue and requested a return they have not responded to me at all. This feels like a scam. Do not buy.
